Onion

Originally from Central Asia, the onion was appreciated for its many qualities. If its taste makes it an main ingredient of all worldwide food, it is also appreciated for its nutritional properties (vitamins B and C, calcium andpotassium). Top’Alliance Alinéa sells 2,000 tones each year of which approximately 1,200 tonnes of French onion, 600 tonnes of onion from New Zealand and 200 tonnes of onion from Italy and Holland. With this diversity of supply, the cooperative is able to distribute the yellow, white, red and sweet onion.
